The steady growth of Family Christian Center’s educational outlets
has been a feather in Pastor Rick
VanWager’s cap for some time now. That’s because both Family Christian
Center Preschool and Family Christian Center School (FCCS) have seen success
after success for decades now. As founder of both schools, Pastor Rick VanWagner played a pivotal
role in their creation and has been involved with oversight ever since.
However, the growth isn’t something he has ever taken for granted. In fact, he
has worked closely with school administration to ensure continued progress of
the facility while making sure that the educational opportunities are enriching
lives.
“As the founder and senior pastor, getting to watch these kids
grow as they are nurtured and taught on this property is the realization of a
long-time dream,” Pastor Rick
VanWagner said recently. “I am so grateful to have such a strong leadership
team both through the school and church, who fully support its vision and
continued success of the school.”
In his welcome message to parents of prospective students,
VanWagner notes that the beginnings of Family Christian Center’s preschool
program has always welcomed interested families with open arms. Once the
preschool sessions began, teachers and administrations have always worked to ensure
that each child is safe and nurtured. Meanwhile, the foundation for future
academic success and a trust in Jesus are continuously built upon. It should
come as no surprise then that such a caring venture has seen numerous
expansions over the years, including an infant room and dozens of other
classrooms.
FCCS, which has grown into a full-spectrum educational outlet for
grades kindergarten through 12th, is another point of pride for
VanWagner. Founded in August 2010 as a K-5th grade program, steady increase
in enrollment helped school administration decide that expansion was in
everyone’s best interest. The most recent expansion was the March 2016 renewal
of Florida League of Christian Schools accreditation through 2021. “The
founding vision of the school is to provide a safe environment for students to
experience excellence in education while they grow in faith, character,
achievement and purpose,” VanWagner said recently.
Both educational institutions have been an immense point of pride
for VanWagner, but Family Christian Center is still a church at its heart. For
those looking for peace and a personal relationship with Jesus, then VanWagner
encourages you to visit the Clermont, Florida-based church. For parents who
seek a school that will reinforce the same values they teach at home, then the
choice is clear.
